In today's world we have freedom to vote and nominate kamala Harris as the first African American woman vice president with an open mind and liberated spirit. The tables were much more tuned back in 1904 when an African American man named George Edwin Taylor took a shot at running for president on a third-party-ticket.George Taylor comes from an educated back ground and worked as a professional journalist for colored people before getting into politics. He realised that colored peoples interest were left out in the construction era early 1900s.George wanted to run for president to represent his people along with all people to come together and live with equal rights. His campaign was joked about and left off the ballot in most states.
